FCC won by 4 wickets
Rivets won the toss and batted. Burnett and Fernando went quite cheaply but Waqar and Shamas posted scores of 18 and 29 respectively to look like making a defendable score.
However the middle and lower order all went for single figure scores with Paul Colloff taking the bowling honours with 4 wickets off just 24 runs. Other wicket takers were Ali with 2 from 19, Steve Mileham 1 from 30, Mark Denness 2 from 16 and Peter Box 1 from 9.
Prash and Fish gave us a bright start of 30 before Fish went LBW for 10. Nigel had one of his rare failures with the bat being stumped for 0. Nick Box steadied the ship with a well made 35 not out with contributions from Steve, 10, Ali, 11 and Tony, 2 not out. We managed to knock off the runs in 24 overs which gave us some extra time to socialise with the friendly Rivets’ lads over a few drinks.
