FCC v Southall Eagles

By | July 3, 2011

Fulmer, 159 for 5

Southall Eagles 158 all out

FCC won by 5 wickets

Southall Eagles won the toss, beginning to be a bit of a pattern, that is, Fulmer losing the toss, and elected to bat. Ali and Gravinder opened the bowling and failed to make an early breakthrough.

Manu K and Mark were then brought into the action and had Payara out for 20, Darsham for 12 and Gopi for 56. Sonu, 15 and Mani 34 put in some solid resistance but Yad, Bittoo, Kala, Bains, Sidhu and Sunny all went pretty cheaply with a final total of 158.

The bowling honours went to Mark with 5 wickets for 32 and Manu with 4 wickets at a cost of 45 runs. Del picked up the remaining wicket for 22 runs.

We lost the early wicket of Prash for 4 but Manu Sharma and Sukhi posted very useful scores of 28 and 23 respectively. Ali went for a second ball duck before Mo Ali 41, Julian not out 11 and Gravinder not out 19 polished off the runs in the 28th over.
