FCC won by 109 runs
Fulmer batted first on an overcast afternoon but on a well honed wicket. Ali and Nigel opened the batting and Ali made a sparkling 43 before being bowled. Nigel was joined by Shyam and they put on 121 runs for the second wicket.
Shyam was eventually out for 53 while Uzair made a rather subdued, for him, 18. Fish was 2 not out when our innings closed with Nigel not out on a bat carrying 106 out of our total of 244. One of our highest scores for the year provided a challenge for our new opponents.
We immediately had them in trouble when Tam took two quick wickets. The next two batsmen made a good effort to accumulate the runs making 67 and 25.
However our total was always going to be a challenge and with Tam taking another wicket and Paul and Del also getting a couple the task was beyond RUASCC. However they saw out the 40 overs finishing 8 down for 135.
