Fulmer CC v Cranbourne CC

By | May 16, 2017

Fulmer 128/7 off 32.2
Cranbourne 124 all out off 29
Fulmer won by 3 wickets

Ali managed to lose the toss again so we were in the field for the second week running.

The main players for Cranbourne were on tour in Greece but one can’t tell how they opposition shape up until we see a few overs.

The openers played and missed a bit but still managed 20 odd before Wll Voaden struck taking 2 quick wickets. Shezad bowled with speed and accuracy and eventually got his rewrd with 3 wickets.

T. Ali got the wicket of their skipper who was looking menacing. The skipper managed to hit the ball after it had skied off his bat and was caught by Ali, our skipper. Ahad, Jules and Colly took the remaining wickets with Peter Bradford taking a handy catch.

Tansy put on a first class tea and has set an extremely high standard for all of us to target!

Ali and Will opened the batting before Ali missed a straight one and was plum LBW. David Timms played some expansive shots for his 4 and Will didn’t last much longer, going for 8.

Simon picked a couple of big gaps in the field to make a quick 9, seeing Peter Bradford depart at the other end for duck. Peter Box joined in and played competently for a bright 24.

T. Ali came to the wicket with not a lot of running experience but managed a giant 6 in his enteraining 10.  Jules made a very useful 17 and with Colly saw us safely home with 3 wickets in hand.

The Cranbourne lads were a nice and friendly bunch.

Rebellion Moment: T. Ali’s huge 6!
